Melissa Harris
Melissa Harris is the communications chief for the Employees’ Retirement Fund of the City of Dallas (ERF). In her role, she leads a team that creates communications strategies that simplify employee pensions for members. Her team manages several websites, a secure member portal, the pension’s social media presence, and the publication of all printed pension education materials for over 16,000 members in English and Spanish.
Melissa has worked for ERF for over 24 years. Before joining the City of Dallas, she was an Online Television Producer for Air Force Television News and Combat Camera. Earlier in her career, she worked in Public Affairs in the United States Army. Melissa has a BA in Communications from Edward Waters University and an MA in Management from Webster University.
