Melissa Harris
Chief of Communications, Employees Retirement Fund of the City of Dallas
Melissa is a Communications professional with over 25 years of award-winning experience in print, video production and marketing communications. Currently Melissa serves as Chief of Communications for ERF. Before ERF she served as Online Producer for Air Force Television (AFTV). AFTV is an internationally syndicated program for US military. Melissa also served in the Army Reserve in the capacity of a Public Affairs Specialist during the Army’s ‘Fuerte Caminos,’ imitative in 1995 documenting the US troops building of roads and medical assistance to Panama.
Over Melissa’s 18-year career with ERF she has created a communications program from the ground up. Before joining the organization ERF did not have a website or consistent communications with their members. Melissa has built an award-winning communications program that includes; publications, strategic communications, crisis communication, pension education with her team to name a few.
